The Kiwano KO1

is an innovative one-wheel electric scooter designed for urban commuters seeking a unique and efficient mode of transportation. Featuring a powerful 1,000 W motor and a 320 Wh battery, the KO1 achieves speeds up to 12 mph (20 km/h) with a range of approximately 25 miles (40 km) on a single charge. Its carbon fiber frame ensures a lightweight build at just 35 lb (16 kg), while the airless 8.5-inch tire and integrated suspension system provide a smooth and stable ride. Riders can control the scooter through subtle body movements, thanks to its advanced self-balancing technology, and customize their experience using the accompanying smartphone app for calibration and remote control.

Our Role

As the in-house brand of Shark, Kiwano’s KO1 showcases our commitment to pioneering personal electric transportation solutions. Our team led the project from concept to completion, focusing on industrial design, mechanical engineering, and user experience. We developed the KO1’s sleek carbon fiber frame, ensuring both durability and a lightweight profile for enhanced portability. Our engineers integrated a robust 1,000 W motor and a 320 Wh battery system, optimizing performance to deliver a top speed of 12 mph and a 25-mile range. Additionally, we designed the intuitive self-balancing system and collaborated on the development of the companion smartphone app, enabling riders to customize settings and control the scooter remotely. Through meticulous design and engineering, Shark Group has brought the Kiwano KO1 to market, offering a distinctive and efficient solution for modern urban mobility.
